Manchester United can close the gap on the top four to just a single point with victory against Wolves on Monday evening but don’t expect a feast of goals at Old Trafford.
United are unbeaten in eight games in all competitions but they have had a fairly kind schedule and there is clearly still a lot of work for Ralf Rangnick to do if he is to guide the Reds into that fourth spot in the Premier League given the strength of competition from the likes of Arsenal and Spurs.

United showed more attacking spark against Burnley but they are not going to find it easy to break down this belligerent Wolves rearguard and don’t be surprised if this turns into a frustrating evening for the hosts.
Only one of the last seven meetings between these sides has gone over 2.5 goals and Wolves are really struggling in front of goal so this is unlikely to be a goals bonanza.
.United to win 1-0 is quite an appealing play at 5/1 but the safest wager, for all that it’s not particularly adventurous, looks to be under 2.5 goals at 10/13.
