Connacht are back in European Champions Cup action this afternoon as they take on Leicester Tigers.
Andy Friend’s earned a bonus point in their first game of the group stage with a comprehensive 36-9 victory over Stade Francais in Galway.
But now face the daunting prospect of taking on the English giants in their own back yard – Welford Road Stadium.
The Premiership table-toppers are enjoying a flawless start to the season, and will be favourites against Friend’s side.
Ahead of the game, the Connacht head coach is relishing measuring his charges against one of European rugby’s top teams.
He said: “These are the weeks that you play rugby for, massive occasions. Leicester Tigers, unbeaten all year, on their home turf, potentially 20,000-plus people there – brilliant, bring it on.
“I think there is a real buzz and a real energy from our blokes that they all want to be there.
“I think one of the pluses for us is that we’ve been there and we know what it looks like.”
